The AGM VRLA (Absorbent Glass Mat Valve Regulated Lead-Acid) battery, more commonly referred to as a sealed maintenance-free battery, belongs to the family of lead–acid rechargeable batteries. It operates on the Gas Recombination Principle, which is controlled by a pre-determined vent valve to ensure safe and efficient performance.

Thanks to its leak-proof design, the battery can be mounted in any orientation, though vertical installation is recommended for optimal access and convenience. One of its key advantages is that it requires no regular maintenance, making it an ideal solution for critical power backup systems.
